How often should I plan to visit my dentist?

Not only do our dentists recommend that you visit every six months, but the American Dental Association (ADA) also shares in this recommendation. This allows our team to readily check for infections, damage, and inflammation that can harm your smile and your body. With early detection, we can mitigate the potential for worsening oral health conditions while keeping your overall health and well-being intact.

What makes dental implants superior to other tooth replacement options?

Dental implants offer far greater benefits than dental bridges or dentures. Not only are they the only solution capable of replacing the full root-to-crown structure, but they continuously stimulate the jawbone and create a functional, durable, and stable smile. They also last 30 years or longer with regular care. This is drastically different from other prosthetics, as they only last 7-10 years.

Should I be concerned about bleeding gums?

Yes, bleeding gums is something you should see your dentist about as soon as possible. Waiting to see if the problem (gum disease) goes away on its own will only cause it to worsen over time. What can be easily reversed with regular cleanings and good at-home oral hygiene habits (gingivitis) can quickly turn into an irreversible problem that requires extensive treatment (i.e., scaling and root planing, Chao Pinhole Technique, etc.).

Can sleep apnea harm more than just my sleeping patterns?

Your breathing and sleeping patterns are not the only things that will suffer when living with sleep apnea. Continuous waking throughout the night due to ceased breathing can lead to high blood pressure, strokes, heart attacks, and other potentially harmful (and fatal) conditions. Your heart, brain, and other vital organs can be negatively affected by sleep apnea, which is why you shouldn’t wait to seek professional help.

Will my veneers look natural?

Yes! When placed by a trusted cosmetic dentist, you can expect your veneers to look beautiful and feel natural. Instead of worrying about the potential for “chiclet teeth,” you can rest assured that your dentist will carefully align and position each veneer in a way that creates a stunning smile others will be delighted to see. With veneers, you can finally feel good about the way you look.
